Lankford Buick Pontiac GMC is now with Armen Cadillac Hummer
September 18, 2009 by Ryan G
Dear Valued Customers, Friends and Family,
I am writing to update all of you about the “wind down” of our GM dealership. As most of you know, the new GM is undergoing a total restructuring program, and it is because of this that, regretfully, I am informing all of you that after being in the automotive business locally for 53 years, the Lankford family will be closing the doors to Lankford Buick Pontiac GMC by the end of September.
However, I am pleased to be able to share some exciting news with you as well! Moving forward, I will be affiliating myself with Armen Cadillac Hummer in Plymouth Meeting. Armen DiFilippo and I have been friends for many years. I know that he, and his staff, will also bring you the finest in automotive products and the same level of unparalleled excellence which you have come to expect. Armen consistently achieves the highest GM ratings for customer satisfaction in sales and service.
As soon as our closing process is complete here, I will be at Armen’s Plymouth Meeting location on Ridge Pike to personally advise and help you with all your automotive concerns and needs. I am also in the process of setting up a new website for my current customer base and prospective customers in the area.
I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life and looking forward to continuing the Lankford caring tradition with all of you at my new location with the Armen organization.
Sincerely,
Mark Lankford

I have a 2007 GMC Torrent which was a great car. I had a overheating problem in which you replace two gaskets which took care of the overheating, but when I got the car back it never ran right. It miss around 15000 RPM’s. I took it back to you just before you closed and was told they could not find anything. I then took it back to Armen where they changed a part which took care of one problem but never fixed the miss. You now have it again and I am told they felt the missing in the motor but it will cost me $900.00 for a tune up in which the extented warranty will not cover it. But it will cost me $100.00 to get my car back not fixed. You did somthing to the car when you fixed the overheating problem. It has never ran right since that day. If you broke it you should be able to fix it without costing me $1000.00. Mr. Lankford ,you had a great dealership and was great employees to deal with. Now all I am getting is a runaround as if all I need was a tune up you would have found it when I had you check twice before. Armen told me they cannot see my prior service records so they can’t tell me what was done on the car before so this is my problem and I have to pay for it even though you broke it.
Please help me. I do have a call in for you to call me back.
Bill,
Per our telephone conversations, I am doing my best to find a solution to your problem.
As we have closed and are no longer a GM dealer, I am unable to do repairs and must rely on the recomendations of the technicians here.
Mark
Hi
Can you tell me where Bruce is? He was my Salesman twice.
Thanks Vicki
Hi
Can you tell me where Bruce is? He was my Salesman twice.
When my wife leased her car from Lankford they extended her warranty for 3 years from the lease purchase date and for 36,000 miles from the time we recd it and not the data the car went in services since we leased it with 5000 miles already on it.
I would like to bring the car to Armen and wanted to ensure the warranty would be honored. I have all paperwork.
