2009 Pontiac G5 Review

January 1, 2009 by jcme

The 2009 Pontiac G5 is the corporate twin to the Chevrolet Cobalt coupe. The G5 features a much more stylish look, of course, with its twin-port grille leading the way. The G5 gives Pontiac fans a compact and sporty option.

There are two trim levels to the 2009 Pontaic G5. The base trim level features power accessories, keyless entry, air conditioning, and a MP3 and CD audio system. The GT trim adds a few things to the base level, not the least of which is the engine. It gets a 2.4 liter inline-4, whereas the base gets a 2.2 liter inline-4. The smaller engine produces 148 horsepower, while the bigger one gives 173 horsepower.

Inside of the Pontiac G5 is where the GT shines. It gets metallic accents, and has an optional premium leather trim. For both trim levels, you can have satellite radio or a Pioneer sound system. The GT also has bigger wheels, as well as sport-tunes suspension and cruise control.

Check out the Pontiac G5 today. You’ll be glad you did.
